SAVING MONEY ON LEGAL FEES WHILE KEEPING YOUR LAWYER IN CHECK
When it comes to lawyers talk isn’t cheap at prices that range from 150.00 per hour and a good lawyer will cost you about $350.00 per hour, how to get your lawyer to do their job while you save money on their fees could be key to have some money left at the end of the day and winning your case.
There are all kinds of things you can do to save on your legal bill. You can communicate by email or faxes without phoning your lawyer. It is a more effective way to communicate with your lawyer and you will have documentation on what you communicated and your lawyer can read it any time. Make sure you ask if there are extra fees for communicating with them that way. You will save money by not making small talk with your lawyer. Just saying hi, how are you, what’s new can add up to a small fortune when it is time to pay the bill.
This form of communication also prevents your lawyer from using the excuse “I didn’t understand” or taking more time to explain the same things over and over again.
Make a list of what you want to say and writing it a manner that is easy to read is a good idea. It will help you make sure you haven’t left anything out and meetings with your lawyer will be more effective. Make notes if you can’t use a tape recorder, keep on track.
Of course you can always tape your meetings and telephone calls that also keeps everything on the up and up.

The more informed you are the more you will save.
